Memory verse:
“And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.”
“Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?”
“And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.” – Jer. 23:34-36.
We understand from scriptures that it is not enough to be obedient, it must be willful and delightsome obedience to qualify for the blessing Isa. 1:19. Kingdom service is a scriptural commandment with blessing that cannot be matched be any on earth. Exo. 23:25-26; Job 36:11. Our willing obedience is our access to the blessing 2Cor. 8:12. Whatever we do under compulsion, duress, or as a burden, never count in the kingdom 1Cor. 9:16-17. Soul winning is the most profitable kingdom stewardship Mat. 16:26.
Covenant Understanding that Delivers from Serving as a Burden.
- There is a Space for Everyone in Kingdom Service.
There is vacancy for everyone in kingdom stewardship, this is because the laborers are few Lk. 10:1-2; Rev. 22:17. The location where vacancy is declared open defines the benefits it offers. Kingdom stewardship is heaven declaring vacancy, and the benefits are incomparable.
- Serving God as a Burden is Costly.
One will lose favor with God when one engages in any kingdom labor as a burden Deu. 28:47-48. This makes God to turn Hus back on such individual, and life is reduced to a burden Jer. 23:34-36,39-40.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, endow me with the grace to keep serving you willing, excitedly, seeing it as a privilege till my time on earth is over 1Cor. 15:10.
Action.
Set target for yourself in this ongoing Operation Living Sacrifice.
