Blessing can be defined as the supernatural power that enables man to succeed in the midst of the challenges of life Ezr. 4:23-24; 5:1-2. Blessing also can be defined as the supernatural power that makes things in the natural answer to the believer Deu. 8:18.

Covenant Triggers for God’s blessing.

  1. New birth.

At salvation, the believer through the blood of Jesus is disconnected from curses, and connected to Abraham blessing Gal. 3:13-14. Salvation is the first thing that qualifies an individual for blessing Psa. 5:12.

  • Obeying God’s word

Every time we obey God’sword and instruction, we trigger the release of God’s blessing on our life Deu. 28:1-3; Jms. 1:25. Every that desires the outpouring of blessing must choose to obey God.

  • Serving God and the interest of His kingdom.

Serving God invokes God’s blessing on a believer Exo. 23:25-26. Remember, serving God is not just being active in church, but doing what brings growth to the church, which essentially is kingdom advancement prayer, soul winning and establishment Acts. 6:4,7; Lk. 14:21-23; Jn. 15:16.

  • Parental pronouncement.

Positive pronouncement by parents on children bring God’s blessing on the children Gen. 27:3-4,30-32. This is a God given authority to parents, which must be consciously put to work. Children must move their parents to make such pronouncements on them that invoke blessings.

  • Priestly pronouncements.

God ordained priests to invoke His blessing on His people Num. 6:22-27. We often call this prophetic blessing, when declared, God is committed to confirm it Isa. 44:26-27.

  • Giving.

Giving is one vital way to trigger God’s blessing Acts 20:35; Mal. 3:10. The giving must be done out of covenant sense, for it to release God’s blessing.

  • Praise.

Praise is the only way by which we release the fearful dimension of God’s blessing Psa. 67:5-7. The fearful dimension of God’s blessing is when God empowers the believer and He does things that make men to be afraid of His life and His God.

In conclusion, you are ordained for a life of blessing in life, but you have to make the choice to take the responsibility for it Acts 3:26.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for
