Memory verse:
“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. 7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.” – Acts 6:4,7.
The pursuit of kingdom advancement and enlargement as a priority is believer’s guarantee for fulfillment in life (Mat. 6:33). Kingdom advancement simply refers to growth of the church; this implies pursuit of church growth is the most important thing in believer’s life (Mat. 16:18). The pursuit of church growth is fundamentally through engaging in kingdom-advancement prayer (Isa. 66:7-8; Ezk. 36:37). Every praying church is a growing church, and every growing church must remain a praying church to keep growing (Acts 2:46-47; 6:4,7). The good news is that there are wonders in commitment to kingdom advancement prayer.
What is in Kingdom-Advancement Prayer for Me?
- Kingdom Advancement Prayer Invokes Divine Favor.
Prayer engagement is engaging in spiritual labor, and in all labor there is profit (Pro. 14:23). Scripture states clearly that engaging in kingdom-advancement prayer entitles believers to the flow of divine favor (Psa. 102:13-15). This is when kingdom-advancement prayer becomes the focus and priority for living; God lavishes His favor on the individual (Mat. 6:33). The life of Nehemiah exemplified this vividly, as God’s favor lifted him from a cup-bearer in the palace to the governor of Judah (Neh. 1:1-11; 2:1-8; 5:14).
