Memory verse:
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” – Mat. 13:44.
God’s kingdom, into which redemption initiates believers, is a business-oriented kingdom (Mat. 20:1-2; Lk. 19:12-17). Jesus presented stewardship in the kingdom as doing kingdom business (Lk. 2:49). Soul-winning, which is the zenith of kingdom stewardship therefore is a big-time kingdom business and worthy of any level of investment (Jn. 4:35-36). This implies that engaging in soul winning is making investment into God’s kingdom, with guarantee of returns that has capacity to transform the life of engaging believer in ways no other investment could do. This is why soul-winning is referred to as a hidden treasure in the kingdom (Mat. 13:44).
Understanding of Soul-Winning that Enhances Engagement.
- Soul-Winning is a Core Spiritual Stewardship.
Scripture states clearly that soul-winning is a fundamental reason a believer is redeemed (2Cor. 5:17-20). Further, scripture states that God’s greatest interest on earth is the salvation of every unsaved (1Tim. 2:4; 2Pet. 3:9). This is what makes soul-winning a core spiritual stewardship (Jn. 15:8,16).
- Soul-Winning is a Covenant Platform for the Rise of Giants.
One of the returns of soul-winning is the rise of the engaging believer into greatness (Lk. 22:25-30). This is because soul-winning makes wise, and wisdom empowers believers to rise as giants (Pro. 11:30; Dan. 12:3).
We can say therefore that one is not wasting his time serving the Lord through soul-winning; we are investing in our future (Mal. 3:17-18; 4:1-4).

Prayer.
Father, endow me with fresh grace for soul-winning, thereby ensuring no unsaved person to escapes from me from today (1Cor. 15:10).
Action.
Set target for your soul-winning engagement this week.
