Memory verse:
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” – Psa. 92:1-2,12.
One way to define breaking new grounds again is generating higher level of accomplishment, commanding new level of result, or rising to next level of achievements. This is God’s design for His children, to keep stepping into next level in all things Pro. 4:18; 2Cor. 3:18. This will demand each believer taking responsibility for it, as it is not automatic. We have identified the responsibility as giving thanks and engaging in praise Hab. 3:17-19.
The Power of Thanksgiving that Guarantees Breaking New Grounds.
- Thanksgiving Engenders Next Levels of Anointing.
The anointing is the Holy Spirit at work in a believer’s life Isa. 61:1; Lk. 4:18. The Holy Spirit is the power dimension of God, and the force behind breaking new grounds Acts 1:8; Mic. 3:8. In thanksgiving we trigger the release of the Holy Spirit on our lives, resulting in breaking new grounds experience Psa. 89:20-25; Isa. 10:27.
- Thanksgiving is the Cure for Pride.
Pride is destructive, it is the last step before a fall and crash in life Pro. 16:18. 2Chr, 26:16. Thanksgiving is the way to be delivered from pride; God views our not being thankful as pride Jer. 13:15-17. The cost of this is being totally denied of all it takes to command breaking new grounds result Dan. 4:29-33.
