Memory verse:
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” – Psa. 62:5-7.
God’s kingdom to which we belong is a kingdom of abundance of all things Deu. 8:7-8; Jn. 10:10. To experience this dimension of life, we must understand that God’s kingdom operates by laws Jos. 1:8; Mat. 5:17; Rms. 8:2-4. A fundamental kingdom law is the law of faith Rms. 3:27; 1:17. Our understanding of faith and how to put it to work is vital to enjoy kingdom life. The word “faith” simply implies expectation, while the word believing means expecting Heb. 11:1; Mk. 11:24. This implies, expectation is key to experience the abundant life that the kingdom of God offers.
The Power of Expectation.
- The Example of David
David fought battles and has the record of victory in all. A secret of David is the power of expectation he engages on the altar of prayer Psa. 62:5. His expectation was never disappointed 2Sam. 5:18-20,25-26; Pro. 23:18.
- Expectation Empowers Intercession for Delivery.
Without expectation, intercession and supplication will be a futile spiritual exercise Mk. 11:24. This is what makes for the frustrating experience of many in church.
- Expectation Enhances Believer’s Sight.
Expectation makes believers see the result before it manifests in reality Heb. 11:13. When we see it, life must bring it forth Gen. 13:14-15; Rms. 4:17-21.

The subject of divine leading is a non-negotiable and non-optional for every person who will do well in life, no matter his situation Deu. 32:9-14; Isa. 48:17. There is no substitute to taking right steps and making right decisions in life, not prayer, fasting, service, giving, faith or anointing. Once a wrong step is taken, […]
First, we must acknowledge the truth that we live in a world enveloped in darkness Psa. 74:20; Isa. 60:1-2; Eph. 6:12. The mission of darkness is to trap, place in bondage, and ultimately destroys Gen. 1:2; Exo. 10:22-23; Psa. 82:5-7; Jn. 11:9-10; 12:35; Eph. 6:12. The big issue is that people are in bondage and […]
The outcome of our actions is determined by the expectations we hold Pro. 23:18; 24:13-14. This is why two people can perform the same task yet experience different outcomes. Therefore, we must cultivate the right expectations as we conclude our 21-day prayer and fasting for favorable results. Scriptural Expectations for Our Fasting to Deliver Favorable […]
Memory verse: “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” Lk. 5:5. Encounter means meeting someone unexpectedly or a sudden experience of something or someone. In essence, encounter with God is the experience of a man […]
