Our focus in this second part of our subject will be UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF THE COVENANT OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE.
Financial fortune is a covenant, not a promise; therefore, it will not respond to prayer, fasting, or mere confession. It is a product of practicing the covenant Deu. 8:18; Gen. 17:1-2. Understanding the covenant is vital for stepping into the realm of abundance.
What is a Covenant?
A covenant is a deal enacted by God based on well-defined terms, sealed with an oath Heb. 6:13-18; Jer. 33:20-21,25-26.
This deal that grants access to financial affluence is based on seedtime and harvest Gen. 8:20-22; Pro. 11:24-26; 2Cor. 9:6-8; Php. 4:15-19. We must view our seed as a spiritual transaction, not as a donation or contribution to “help” God, the church, minister, or indigent Psa. 50:14; Hag. 2:6-8; Lk. 22:35. This transaction invokes divine favor for financial fortune Gen. 22:16-18; Mal. 3:9-10; Php. 4:15-19.
Why Does God Bless?
- To Establish His Covenant of Blessing.
God blesses His children in order to prove that the covenant is true and has the power to make rich Deu. 8:18; Psa. 89:34; Jer. 33:20-21; Gal. 3:13-14; 2Cor. 8:9.
- To Promote His kingdom on the Earth.
God’s blessings are essentially for the expansion of His kingdom on the earth Hag. 1:5-14; Zch. 1:17; Mat. 24:24.
- To Bless Humanity at Large.
God’s blessings are meant for distribution, not hoarding Gen. 12:1-3; 22:17-18; 1Tim. 6:17-19.
How Does God Bless?
- Through the Works of our Hands.
Legitimate work qualifies one for God’s blessings that makes rich Deu. 28:12; Job 1:9-10; Psa. 1:3.
- Through Divine Direction.
God’s leading is one guaranteed way to His blessing Isa. 48:17,21; Gen. 12:1-3.
- Through Divine Favor.
Favor makes our effort to yield results; it is a way of God’s blessing for fortune Exo. 3:21; Psa. 30:5-7; 102:13-15; Lk. 6:38.
- Through Parental Blessings
Pronouncements by biological parents trigger for the flow of God’s blessings, which will result in financial fortune Gen. 49:22-26; Eph. 6:1-2.
- Through Priestly Blessings.
This is pronouncements by anointed servants of God, this invokes God’s blessings Gen. 14:16-20; Num. 6:23-27; Deu. 33:1.
When Does God Bless?
- When We are Due.
This is when our spiritual account is saturated with blessings making for outpouring on our lives Ecc. 11:3; Gal. 6:9.
- In Phases.
Each phase is an increase on the previous, until we step into overflowing blessings Deu. 7:22; Mk. 4:27-28.
Season of Returns on our Seeds Sown.
Understanding the timing of our harvest is crucial to take delivery of harvest. These are the times presented in scriptures:
i) Within weeks: 11:1-3; Rev. 22:1-2.
ii) Within one year: 26:12-14; Lk. 13:6-9.
iii) Within 5 years: 19:23-25; Gal. 6:9.
iv) Same day: Experience this only through the altar of sacrifice 8:20-22; 22:1-5,16-18; 1Kgs. 3:3-9.
Conclusion.
Understanding and practicing the covenant guarantee the end of financial struggles and the enjoyment divine favor for financial fortune Heb. 6:16.

Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Redemption brought believers out of the miry clay into the life of wonders (Isa. 8:18). God’s Word is the depot of these wonders; how much his eyes are opened to see determines the amount of wonders he will experience (Gen. 13:14-15; Psa. 119:18). A believer is not designed to struggle to experience a life of […]
God’s word is loaded with wonders; how much of it is revealed to a believer determines how much he experiences (Psa. 119:18; Gen. 13:14-15). This means that the life of wonder ordained by redemption will only become a reality to the extent believers catch revelation of the wonders in the word (Isa. 8:18). What are […]
The Bible is not a history book, not a religious text; it is a book of mysteries loaded with wonders (Mk. 4:11; Psa. 119:18). When believers catch the revelation of these wonders in the word, it invokes dramatic transformations as their lives turn to wonders (Gen. 13:14-15; 2Cor. 3:18). The question is, what are these […]
Often, the challenge with some people is not really the devil, powers of darkness, or any enemy, but themselves – their neglect of salient but vital factor of life (SOS 2:15; Jms. 3:3-5). Thanksgiving is one of such factors; when neglected, it tends to lead to self-destruction (Psa. 28:5; Lk. 16:12-21). Why Do We Give […]
