Memory verse:

The scriptures make us to understand that when purpose is not known or well understood, people will become victims of misdirection and frustration Pro. 29:18. I think this is the challenge with believers today; lack of understanding of the fundamental purpose of faith in God. Every believer is called and ordained to be a soul winner and to ensure that the souls won to God abide in the faith Jn. 15:16. In essence, we are not only to get the unsaved to make a commitment to Christ, but to see that they are established in the lifestyle of Christ. This is why it becomes necessary to get them into and committed in the church.

Profits of Ingathering of souls to the church.

1. To avoid wasted labor.

Just as in natural farm work, the effort of the farmer is ultimately in getting the farm produce to the house for consumption or the storehouse for financial profit. Without this, the farmer stands the risk of losing every effort made. The same applies in the kingdom, and our storehouse is the church 1Ths. 3:5; Mal. 3:10.

1. Our fruits as believers are the souls won for Christ, and it is when they abide that we become entitled to the full delivery of our rewards Jn. 15:16; 4:35-36.
2. Ingathering of harvest is the wisdom of profitability; we must therefore engage same in taking over our harvest field to maximize our opportunities in the kingdom Jn. 4:35; Mat. 9:37; Ecc. 10:15.
3. The scriptures show us that tireless commitment to ingathering of souls makes a star of the believer Dan. 12:3; Pro. 11:30. In essence, ingathering of souls into the church is the way to actualize the destiny of glory a believer has in Christ.

The truth is, no believer will experience glory without a commitment to ingathering of souls into the church. And Christianity without glory is highly frustrating.

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for the ingathering of all my converts and contacts into the church until they are established Zch. 4:6.

Action.

Go after all our converts thus far this year, get them all into church tomorrow.
