Memory verse:

The scriptures make us to understand that the believer is expected to be able to discern the times by the happenings and events around Mat. 16:2-3. This is vital because an understanding of the time and season is essential to maximize our life on the earth 1Chr. 12:32. When we begin to witness massive ingathering of souls into the kingdom, it is the sign of the move of the Holy Spirit or a revival 1Cor. 12:3; Acts 2:1-6,41. This happening is to inform us as believers that we are to get committed to the ingathering of souls into the church.

What is the Significance of Ingathering of souls into the church?

1. For the sanctification of the new converts and members.

Redemption has great promises, for these to be actualized in the lives of our converts, they have to get into the church and abide there 2Pet. 1:3. Someone might say but God is everywhere and can bless in every place. We must not fail to understand that we belong to a kingdom that operates by principles, and one of it is that the church is the appointed place for satisfaction with His blessings Psa. 65:4. The following among others are scriptures to validate this.

1. The church is God’s solution center to the diverse needs of men Mat. 11:28-29; Isa. 30:29-30. In essence, every challenge of man will be resolved when the convert gets into the church with this understanding.
2. The church is where God opens the eyes of understanding of the believer through the teaching priests ministry 2Chr. 15:3-5; Isa. 30:20-21. With the eyes of understanding, the convert is able to see what belongs to him by redemption, and is thereby empowered to take delivery of them Gen. 13:14-15.

Every time the believer does the right thing for the moment, life turns glorious for him Eccl. 3:1,11. The instruction of wisdom to very believer this season therefore, is to respond to the demand of ingathering of souls into the church for their establishment in the faith.

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace for the ingathering of souls into the kingdom, thereby positioning me for the full delivery of the blessing of the season Zch. 4:7.
