Memory verse:
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Mat. 12:30.
Every child of God is commanded to be involved in ingathering of souls into the kingdom Lk. 14:21-23. We are not only to gather them, we must compel the people to ensure they come to the church and become rooted in God Jn. 15:16. But an understanding of the purpose for doing this is vital to be empowered for tireless engagement at it Pro. 29:18. Remember, getting souls for Christ is the most rewarding engagement on the earth Mat. 16:26.
Scriptural understanding that empowers the believer for ingathering of souls into church.
- For the preservation of our new converts.
The scriptures make us to understand that the will of God is to see every individual that makes a commitment of his life to Christ abide with him forever Col. 4:12; Jn. 15:16. It is as the believer abides in the faith that he will become matured and come into the fullness of the stature of Christ Eph. 4:13-14. Commitment to the church becomes vital in these wise:
- The church is the appointed spiritual home for the every believer, where he is nursed and nurtured into maturity 3:15; Eph. 2:19; Lk. 15:3-7.
- The church is ordained for a covering for our new converts against all assaults of the wicked one, which will result in the believer growing into maturity 7:10; Psa. 91:1-5; Obd. 17.
Remember, the believer must be planted in the church to secure his glorious destiny in Christ Psa. 92:13-15; 87:5-7; Rms. 8:29-30. Therefore, our converts must be gathered and made to remain in the church for them to enjoy the kingdom life to the fullness.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, I ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to see every soul you give to me this year gathered and established in your house, thereby making them to fully partake of their inheritance in Christ and fit for eternity with Christ Acts 8:26.
Action.
Check to see what things are stopping your converts and invitees from coming to church.
