Memory verse:        

“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”                                      Mat. 12:30.

The scriptures is very explicit on the subject of gathering the harvest when it says gathering is the proof of being with Christ Mat. 12:30. In essence, every effort and labor that the believer makes into the kingdom and for God is nothing until it results into gathering with Christ. The question now might be, gathering what? We know that the ultimate reason why Christ came on the earth is to save the lost and bring them into relationship with God Mat. 18:11; Lk. 19:10. Therefore, gathering with Christ is all about getting souls saved and established in the faith through being established in the church.

Scriptural understanding that empowers the believer for ingathering of souls into church.

1. For the sanctification of our new converts and members.

God is not interested in having just multitudes and crowd in His house. Rather, His interest is to have multitude of men who have made the choice to live the separated life unto Him 2Cor. 6:17-18. The church is the place where men are trained and raised into such life. The following gives credence to this:

24. The church is the ordained place for the deliverance of new converts from all ungodly age-long habits, which would deter them from relationship with God 1:17; Heb. 12:22-24.
25. The church is a spiritual cleansing center for God’s people, where everything that defiles are cleared off 15:3; Eph. 5:25-26.

Remember, sanctification is a demand for the believer to take delivery of his inheritance in Christ Acts 20:32; 2Pet. 1:3. Also, it is non-optional to enter into eternity with Christ Rev. 21:7-8. It is the reason why we must ensure our harvests are gathered into the church.

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, I ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to see every soul you give to me this year gathered and established in your house, thereby making them to fully partake of their inheritance in Christ and fit for eternity with Christ Acts 8:26.

Action.

Appraise yourself, how many of your converts this year are established in the church.
