Memory verse:
“He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.” Pro. 10:5.
Scriptures often likened kingdom life to farming Mat. 13:36-43. Every farmer knows that until the harvest is gathered into the barn or storehouse, all efforts will end up a waste. The church is the spiritual storehouse for ‘gathering and storage’ of harvested souls into God’s kingdom Jn. 15:16. This is why in-gathering of souls into the church is vital for believers.
The Significance of the Spiritual Storehouse (Church) in Kingdom Harvest.
- For Spiritual Growth and Development of New Converts.
New birth is akin to natural birth; it is the spiritual birth of an individual, where he comes forth as a new born baby in God’s kingdom 1Pet. 2:2. Birth is momentary, but growth is progressive and demands unending investment. One of the investments for growth of new babies in Christ is getting them into church and making them to abide their Lk. 14:21-23. Some of the things that happen in church that result in growth and development include the following.
i) The church is the spiritual service station.
Just like physical service station where vehicles are brought to fix their damages, and return with them functioning better. The church is a spiritual service station, where we grow from strength-to-strength Psa. 84:7; 73:17.
ii) The church is where God-ordained teaching priests are found.
We may have those who exhort, admonish, and counsel. The feeding of God’s people, which is a must for growth, is only by God-ordained priests such as Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers Eph. 4:11-12; Jer. 3:15-16. These are located in only the church.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, by the help of the Holy Spirit, every soul God gives me this year shall become established in the faith and the church Jn. 15:16.
Action.
Draw strategies to ensure all converts of this year are gathered into and stay in church.
Priestly Blessings.
Every force contending against any convert’s appearance in church is destroyed now!!
None of our converts this year shall be lost to the world!
