Memory verse:   

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

The believer is instructed in scriptures to be a fruit bearing branch of the vine, a demand that is essential for his continuous existence Jn. 15:1-2. We have said that fruit bearing means winning the unsaved to Christ Mk. 16:15-16. But the scriptures did not stop at only bearing fruit, it goes further to instruct that our fruits must abide for our efforts not to be wasted Jn. 15:16. If our fruits or souls won for Christ will abide in God, we must get them into church and make them to remain Heb. 10:25.

The significance of ingathering of our converts into the church.

1. For the spiritual growth and development of our converts.

The wellbeing of the converts is a function of their spiritual prosperity and development Pro. 18:14. The church is designed by God to offer the believer spiritual growth and development. Check out the following that take place in the church.

7. The church is the spiritual center where the believer grows from strength to strength 84:7. As the interacts with personalities of supernatural strength present in the church, he grows in strength Heb. 12:22-24.
8. God ordained shepherds that feed the flock are located in the church 3:15-16. God’s word is the food of the spirit, as the shepherds feed with the word of God, the converts grow spiritually Acts 20:28; 1Pet. 2:2.

• The church is the center for spiritual illumination, where the converts contact the light of God 73:17. By this light, the believer is translated to greater height of glory in life 2Cor. 3:18.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with the grace to labor that every of my converts shall be gathered into the church and become established in the faith Jn. 15:16.

Action.

Organize transport for all your converts to and fro church services.

I curse the activity of hell to derail any of our converts from the path of righteousness!
