Every instruction of God is ordained to be to the advantage and benefit of the believer that will choose to comply Deu. 28:1; 2Tim. 3:16-17. Therefore, the scriptural instruction to win souls and get them to abide in the kingdom has a promise of great blessing for every believer Jn. 15:16. But to see souls won and abide in the faith, the issue of getting them into and remain in the church becomes vital.

The significance of ingathering of our converts into the church.

1. For the preservation of the new converts.

New converts in the kingdom are referred to as ‘fruits’ Jn. 15:1-2. In farming, fruits must be gathered into the barn or storehouse to be beneficial, when left on the field it is wasted labor to the farmer. We must understand that:

10. The church is the spiritual storehouse where the believer’s ‘fruits’ must be gathered for their preservation 3:10. The church is the spiritual home, where the new life that converts have received will be nurtured Lk. 15:3-7; Eph. 2:19.
11. The church is the also the spiritual home for the covering of new converts against all assaults of the wicked 7:10; Psa. 91:1-5. New birth makes the believer a target to the devil; it is the church that guarantees protection against their assaults.

• The church guarantees the realization of the glorious destiny available in Christ 8:29-20. Therefore, as the converts are planted in the church, they gain access to the life of glory Psa. 92:12-15.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with the grace to labor that every of my converts shall be gathered into the church and become established in the faith Jn. 15:16.
