“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

We have a good and enviable heritage in Christ, but there is the demand that must be fulfilled in order to experience it in reality Psa. 16:6. The demand is to bare abiding fruit into the kingdom; this simply means reconciling the unsaved to God and make them to abide in the faith 2Cor. 5:17-20; Jn. 15:16. Often, the challenge with lots of believers is ignorance of this demand, which denies them of actualizing the abundant life Hos. 4:6. Some others, it is the laziness at getting the reconciled souls to abide in God Jn. 15:16. And this is where ingathering into the church is vital.

The significance of ingathering of our converts into the church.

1. For the sanctification of the converts.

The church is more than a place where believers gather to worship God, it is a mysterious center. Some of the mysteries that guarantee the sanctification of converts are:

17. The church is the place of deliverance from all ungodly age-long habits 17. These habits are anti-destiny; deliverance from them makes the convert to be encouraged to abide in God, hence the instruction of scripture not to forsake the church Heb. 10:25.
18. The church is the cleansing center for God’s people. God’s word is the cleanser, and it is in the church that we have the release of the word with the power and life that cleanses 15:3; Eph. 5:26.

• Sanctification is the believer’s access to all inheritance in Christ Acts 20:32; 2Pet. 1:3. And access to our inheritance will enhance the establishment of the converts in the faith.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with the grace to labor that every of my converts shall be gathered into the church and become established in the faith Jn. 15:16.

Action.

Check all your converts for the year, for those who are regular in church services.

Your labor in God’s kingdom shall be rewarded abundantly!
