Memory verse:

“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”

  • Psa. 89:34.

Service is the believer’s access to the blessing of God, and the platform for rising to the top in life Exo. 23:25-27; Lk. 22:25027. The blessing of God is the secret to success and fulfillment in life Pro. 10:22. In essence, every believer that desires success and fulfillment in life therefore must be committed to serving God. But to make our service deliver God’s blessing, we need to operate with the mentality that will make our effort not to be wasted Phm. 1:14. A covenant mentality is what empowers the believer to be consistent in service, which will eventually bring him into God’s blessing 1Cor. 15:58.

Covenant mentality that empowers for service of rewards.

  1. Our faithful engagement in soul winning endeavors guarantees practical returns.

We must understand that soul winning is engaging in spiritual labor, not a waste of time, effort or our resources Lk. 13:7-9. Every labor guarantees profit, and spiritual labor delivers the greatest in life Pro. 14:23; 1Tim. 4:7-8. In essence, going after souls for their salvation is work, which commands great rewards.

  • Endurance is a non-negotiable requirement in every work.

In every work endurance is vital to get to the point of receiving the prize 1Cor. 9:24. Endurance means having reasons to give-up and quit, instead one gets more committed with hope that it will work. This mentality is essential in our spiritual labor in the kingdom Heb. 6:12.

  • Understand that we serve the faithful God.

Our God is the faithful God; no matter what it appears in the physical, what He has said is what will happen eventually Hab. 2:3; Heb. 6:10. We must remain committed in service; because when we are due for rewards God will deliver it without fail Gal. 6:9. If we are not seeing rewards, our effort is yet to be enough for the reward; we must not allow it to be wasted by giving up too soon.

Therefore, our reward and blessing is so sure no matter what it appears in the physical now. And when the rewards come, our story will become a glory Pro. 10:22.
