Memory verse:   

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

We have established from scriptures that serving God is the believer’s access to the world of blessing in life Exo. 23:25-26. The scriptures teach us that with access to God’s blessing, a believer is guaranteed the life of success and glory Pro. 10:22. In essence, petitioning God in prayer and fasting is not the believer’s principal channel to having things turn in life but serving God. Therefore, our level of commitment to and consistence in serving God is the secret to greatness for the believer Lk. 22:22-27; Mat. 20:20-22.

Kingdom provisions that we access through serving God.

1. We serve to become candidate of favor.

Favor is about enjoy outcome that far outweigh ones input by reason of uncommon help one receive Psa. 44:3. It is what delivers man form the life of struggle, and it is the heritage of every child of God Psa. 5:12. But we do not wait nor beg for favor, we serve our way into favor Psa. 102:13-15.

• We serve to enjoy long life in the kingdom.

The scriptures make us to understand that redemption empowers the believer to live to his good old age Gen. 15:15; Gal. 3:29. Though it is the believer’s right, but it won’t happen automatically. And we don’t beg for long life as kingdom citizens, we serve for it to become our experience Exo. 23:25-26; Psa. 91:15-16.

Serving God is not placing a burden on the believer; it is giving him the platform to experience the fullness of kingdom life. In essence, God is not looking for whom to use, He is looking for whom to bless Exo. 23:25-26.

Prayer.                                                

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace afresh for renewed service and to remain committed until my turnaround is testified to by all Zch. 4:6-7.

Action.

Go after all your converts for the week, and prepare them to be in church with you tomorrow Sunday.
