The scriptures make us to understand that next to salvation, divine guidance is what the believer must experience to fulfill his destiny on the earth Deu. 32:9-14. It is one thing every believer will continue to require all through his journey in life Rms. 8:14.
The Significance of Divine Guidance.
In essence, some of the reasons why the believer must follow divine guidance.
- The believer is redeemed to command dominion.
Salvation empowers the believer above all the forces of life, thereby making him to walk in dominion Eph. 2:5-6; 1:20-21.
- The believer is redeemed unto glory and honor.
New birth delivered the believer from every form of shame and reproach in life, both in the present and future ones Isa. 61:7; 2Pet. 1:3.
- It is following divine direction that enables the believer to arrive at his ultimate promise land.
The dominion, glory and honor ordained for the believer can only be experienced by following divine direction Num. 9:18-23; Exo. 13:17-19.
Following God who knows everything about the future is what guarantees arrival at one’s promised land Isa. 46:9-10. Therefore, there are no sealing on the believer’s destiny, every believer has the opportunity of rising to the topmost top he can imagine. But only the believer who will be committed to following divine direction will arrive there Exo. 23:20.
The Cost of wrong or Misdirection.
When a believer misses his step out of divine path, he becomes subject to the forces of death Pro. 14:12; 16:25. Also, he becomes vulnerable to the operation of the thief, who robs him of all that God has for his life and destiny Isa. 42:22-24.
Wonders of Divine Direction.
Following in divine direction enforces certain things into manifestation, which will make the believer to be wondered at. What are those things?
- It allays all fears.
When one walks in divine path, God’s presence goes with that believer, this makes him to be free from all fear and intimidation Psa. 23:1,4; Exo. 3:7-10; 4:22-23. When one is plagued with fear, check to be sure one has not missed his step out of God’s path for one’s life.
- It secures supernatural victory.
Walking in divine path secures divine presence, which guarantees supernatural victory Jos. 6:1-20; 2Sam. 5:18-22,25-26. When the believer is recording loses and defeats, he should check whether he has not stepped out of God’s path for his life.
- It keeps believers ever refreshed.
No matter the situation, circumstance or the climatic condition a believer finds himself, he is assured of a refreshing experiencing by commitment to walk in divine direction Jer. 17:9; Pro. 3:17; Psa. 23:1-6.
In conclusion, every child of God has the destiny of greatness and glory. But this is largely dependent on our commitment to follow divine leading.

Sanctification is a commandment of scripture to every believer 1Ths. 4:3,7. God will not demand from us what He has not endowed with grace or empowered us for Jdg. 6:14; 1Jn. 5:3.
