It does not matter the experience of man and the odds against his life, following divine guidance guarantees his rise to great heights Deu. 32:9-15. Without divine guidance, a man has no or little chance in the race of life Jer. 10:23-24. It is divine guidance that makes the enemies of life irrelevant, which enables the believer to fulfill destiny Jer. 12:5.

The Significance of Divine Guidance.

Why the believer must seek to be directed by God.

  1. We are redeemed as stars in the race of life.

Redemption makes stars out of ordinary men and non entities Rev. 22:16; Heb. 12:1-2; Jn. 17:18.

  1. We are redeemed to command exploits.

New birth imparts with divine nature and ability, which empower the believer to command unusual result Mat. 11:11; Jn. 14:12.

  1. It takes following divine direction to realize our full potential and inheritance in Christ.

The steps we take in life either enhance or impair the ability in us Jer. 5:4-5. Following divine path is what will make the believer to actualize the full capacity of Christ in him Exo. 23:20.

  1. There are ways that appears as the rights way, beware.

Often, one can be deceived to adopt a path as divine because everything about it will appear right; it is at the end that one will discover it to be the wrong path Pro. 14:12; 16:25.

This places great demand on every believer to ascertain that the path he is following is truly God’s path 1Ths. 5:21. Therefore, the place of divine guidance cannot be over-emphasized. And everyone that desires a great life must subscribe and live by divine guidance.

The Cost of wrong or Misdirection.

It robs the believer of the great things ordained for his life by God. Paul is a typical example; he was sent to the Gentiles but missed his way into the Jews (circumcision), and suddenly was (mis)taken for a murderer Gal. 2:8; Acts 9:15; 21:10-13; 28:4.

Wonders of Divine Direction.

There are certain things that happen as the believer walks in divine path, which will translate him from an ordinary to a wonder personality.

  1. It enhances the command of the supernatural.

Walking in divine path invokes God to work in the believer’s life, which results in his command of the supernatural Isa. 45:1-3; Gal. 2:8.

  1. It provides access to supernatural blessing.

Following God’s path unleashes God’s blessings on the believer, which results in the life of glory and abundance of all things Deu. 28:1-2; Pro. 10:22; Isa. 48:17-21.

  1. It imbues with supernatural strength.

When one follow God’s path, one will enjoy the impartation of divine strength, which results in supernatural victory and exploits all the way Jdg. 6:14; Pro. 24:10; Eph. 3:16.

In conclusion, the reason many believers seem not to experience the reality of the abundant life is the challenge of not walking in divine direction Psa. 16:11. The message today is ‘where are you’; in essence, what path are you threading? Gen. 3:9. One cannot walk in the path of God, and not emerge a wonder in life!

Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
