At redemption, the believer begins to be identified as a sheep in God’s fold Mat. 10:16; 25:31-34; Psa. 100:3. From scriptures, we identify Jesus as the great and good shepherd in life Heb. 13:20; Jn. 10:11. Just as in the natural animal science, the sheep will always need the shepherd for everything no matter its age, strength and experience. In the same vein, every man particularly the believer that desires to make the most of his life on the earth must see his need for the shepherd Psa. 23:1-6; Isa. 54:11-14; Rms. 8:14.
The Significance of Divine Direction.
In essence, why must the believer must seek to be directed by God?
By redemption, the believer was brought into a life full of glory Rms. 8:29-30; 2Pet. 1:3. In essence, shame, reproach or the likes are not part of redemptive package for the believer’s life.
By redemption, the believer is made into a king ordained to reign on the earth Gen. 17:5-7; Gal. 3:29; Rev. 5:10. Therefore, to live as a destitute is an abuse to redemption.
The enviable life of the kingdom ordained for the believer will not be by his strength, power and might Zch. 4:6-7. The believer needs to be led of God to experience this great life in reality Psa. 16:11; Isa. 48:17; Rms. 8:28-29.
Next to salvation, divine direction stands out as a great asset in the journey of life Psa. 23:1-6; Isa. 48:21. Divine direction may not ‘look sound’ by human consideration, but that is the pathway for every individual that will enjoy good in life Isa. 55:8; 2Cor. 11:3. However, following Divine Direction is a choice Deu. 30:19; Jer. 2:14-17.
Cost of Misdirection.
Jonah was sent to Nineveh but headed to Tarshish and ended up in the belly of a fish, but mercy rescued him Jonah 1:1-17. Many have lost their glorious destiny to taking a wrong step, and never recovered. Now that you are hearing these words now, you have opportunity to enjoy mercy and restoration.
Wonders of Divine Direction
God will always go with the believer on the path He leads him Psa. 114:1-7; Psa. 23:1,4. In essence, as long as we follow divine leading, we have the guarantee of divine presence. God’s presence is the security of destiny, and it makes all the difference in life Rms. 8:31.
The believer is ordained for unstoppable progress in life despite the obstacles by reason of supernatural breakthrough Pro. 4:18. This will become the reality in his life as he submits to God’s leading in his life Jonah 3:1-10; Isa. 45:1-3; Gal. 2:8.
Every man has enough enemies that confronts against his life and destiny 1Cor. 16:9; Mat. 6:34.These enemies have one mission, to deny the believer of actualizing his destiny. When one is led by God, all the enemies and their activities are rendered useless Psa. 23:1,5; Isa. 14:25-27.
In conclusion, we were created for a great life on the earth, but we need the one who created us to show us step by step how to experience the fullness of the life He made for us. It’s never too late to start following divine leading. No matter how far an individual has gone off in life, when he connects back to God to follow the right path, he is fully brought into the glory ordained for him.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
