• Psa. 103:1-5.

There is the way of men and the way of God about everything in life; and we need to understand that the way of life an individual adopt will define his experience and lot in life Jer. 5:4-5. The kingdom of God to which we belong operate by the ways of God Psa. 103:7. Walking in the way of God makes the believer to experience the acts of God naturally, empowers him to walk in the higher ways of life, and secures the destiny of the believer Isa. 55:8-9. From scriptures, we understand that one fundamental way of God is the way of thanksgiving 1Ths. 5:18; Psa. 92:1-2.

What is thanksgiving? It is acknowledging and appreciating God for what He has done in our lives Psa. 103:1-2. We must learn to acknowledge every little thing done in our life as an individual; it is the way of God to take note of everything to the minute details, and acknowledge whoever did it. As children of God, we must imbibe this attitude and make it our lifestyle. What are the things that happen when a believer adopts the way of thanksgiving in life, these are the things our teachings this week has as focus.

The power of thanksgiving.

1. It enforces the fulfillment of prophetic agenda.

God operate with His children prophetically; God will never do anything unless He has first revealed it to His children through His prophet Amos 3:7; Isa. 42:8-9. God’s plan for His children are unveiled through prophetic scriptures and words of prophecy 2Pet. 1:19-20; Deut. 18:21-22. It will take God at work to see such prophetic words become fulfilled 1Kgs. 8:15,22. Thanksgiving is the covenant force with which we invoke God to work thereby bringing prophecy into fulfillment 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36.

In essence, embracing the lifestyle of thanksgiving is the wisdom to maximize the life God has ordained for the believer on the earth. Make thanksgiving your lifestyle and I see a new dawn on your life today.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the oil of gladness and the grace for the lifestyle of thanksgiving thereby bringing me into the fullness of the glorious life God ordained for me Psa. 45:6-7.

Action.

Enter into a covenant of thanksgiving; to always respond in every situation with appreciation to God.
