We have established from scriptures in our teachings that the Holy Spirit core mission is to help the believer, and the help is to fulfil his glorious destiny in Christ Jn. 14:16-18,26. Why do we need the help of the Holy Spirit? We must understand that God created man to be help-dependent in life Jn. 15:5. Successful and great men all through human history and in scriptures were help made 1Sam. 12:18,22; Acts 26:22. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, a man is limited to his strength, which often results in struggle and failure 1Sam. 2:9. Or they pursue after men for help, which has no guarantee of success Psa. 60:11-12. The help of the Spirit of God is what we call grace, which is what makes great in life Heb. 4:16; 1Cor. 15:10. In essence, no matter the experience of the believer, when he connects to the help of the Spirit of God, his story changes as he begins to emerge in greatness. The Holy Spirit helps the believer through His diverse forms of manifestation 1Cor. 12:7. One of such is as the Spirit of faith 1Cor. 12:9.
The Spirit of Faith.
The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of faith helps the faith of the believer to some alive and produce 2Cor. 4:13. The Spirit of faith empowers believers to believe all things Acts 24:14; 14:9-20; Php. 1:23-25.
The Characteristics of the Spirit of Faith.
We live in a world of battles, only the believer with faith will overcome 1Jn. 5:4. Everyone that desires victory over all life battles must access the help of the Spirit of faith.
Every believer has the arrows of the devil thrown at him both at day and at night Psa. 91:5-6. The assurance of scriptures is that the shield of faith will render all such arrows useless Eph. 6:16; Dan. 3:14-28. Therefore, the believer that will not be a victim of Satan’s assault must connect to the help of the Spirit of faith.
The principalities and powers set over nations and kingdoms are brought to their kneels by the force of faith Heb. 11:33-34. In essence, every believer that will subdue kingdom and wrought righteousness must connect to the help of the Spirit of faith Dan. 6:10-28.
The end time is identified as perilous times 2Tim. 3:1. The storms of evil of the end time will require strong faith to be silenced Mat. 8:26-27. Therefore, every believer that will not become a victim in this end-time needs the help of the Spirit of faith in his life.
The significance of faith to the triumph of the believer and experience of the life of glory makes it the target of the devil in this end time Lk. 18:8; 22:31. We must therefore understand how to access the help of the Spirit of faith.
Accessing the Spirit of Faith.
Faith is the only kingdom virtue that is both a fruit and gift of the Spirit Gal. 5:22; 1Cor. 12:9. Only those who are truly born of the Spirit can access it Jn. 3:3-5; 1Cor. 2:14.
Only desperate believers gain access to kingdom virtues Isa. 44:3-4; 2Kgs. 2:4-15. The level of desperation will determine the degree of the Spirit of faith that will be released on the believer 1Cor. 12:31.
The deeper the revelation, the stronger the faith of the believer becomes Rms. 10:17; Eph. 3:1-5; Php. 4:13. In essence, every believer must get into the word to contact revelation thereby invoke the Spirit of faith on his life.
In conclusion, God designed the believer for the life of glory, and provided all the help needed to actualize it. Therefore, to still be struggling as a believer simply show lack of knowledge and understanding of what God has done. Now that we know, the struggle is over in our lives.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
