What is it about faith? Or what is the importance of having a working faith? Why must a believer or any man have faith? Heb. 11:6.

  1. It is what connects the believer to experience the reality of God in his life Mat. 13:53-58.

Remember, God is what makes all the difference in life Acts 10:38; Jn. 3:2; 15:5.

  1. It is what gives the believer access to every good thing God’s kingdom offer; health, success, fulfillment, desired miracle, breakthrough, divine guidance, prosperity etc. Mat. 9:27-29; Heb. 11:2.
  2. It is what makes every other thing in the kingdom and in life to work; prayer, fasting, giving, the scripture etc Mat. 17:19-20.
  3. It is the believer’s victory over the enemy, which makes the devil and all powers of darkness cease to exist 1Jn. 5:4; Eph. 6:16.
  4. It turns the believer into a ‘god’ over life affairs, thereby making him to walk in dominion in life Mk. 10:27; 9:23.

In essence, faith is not an option for the believer that will experience the reality of the abundant life promised by Jesus Jn. 10:10. Without faith the Christian life becomes unproductive and total frustration.

What is faith?

  1. Faith is not a religious ideology; it is a spiritual mystery.

A mystery is a truth embedded in the scriptures beyond what human and scientific explanation, but commands open proofs Col. 1:26. This is what faith is, a mystery of God’s kingdom 1Tim. 3:9; Heb. 11:11. If you are waiting to be able to humanly explain it, you may never get it!

  • Faith is not an intellectual fact, it is a spiritual force.

In essence, it is not something we can proof by human analysis and words, rather we act it by practicing God’s word to deliver result that validates the reality of faith 1Cor. 1:20-26; 2Kgs. 7:1-2,18-20.

  • Faith is not a belief system; it is engaging the power of God.

In essence, it is not faith unless it makes the power of God to be manifested 1Cor. 2:4-5. Faith unleashes God’s power into the believer’s situation, to deliver desired result and testimony supernaturally.

It is not enough to have faith; we must understand how to make our faith produce result.

What makes Faith to Work?

These are scriptural factors essential to make faith deliver result.

  1. Vision-driven faith.

Vision is when the believer can see God’s plan and purpose Jer. 11:29. It is only God’s plan that God is committed to deliver, not our plan. In essence, vision makes the believer to see what God has planned, giving his faith a clear target to deliver Mk. 11:23.

  • Daring faith.

The faith that works dares situations that appear impossible Exo. 14:15; Heb. 11:29. When the believer is scared and cannot dare the situation, his faith does not have the opportunity to deliver. Therefore, be daring with your faith from today, and you will be surprised with what will begin to happen.

  • Rest-proven faith.

The faith that works must first put the believer at rest Heb. 11:3-9. There was storm but Jesus was at rest, and He rose to calm the storm just by a command Mat. 8:23-27. Daniel was at rest in the den of lions, to emerge the first on excursion to the lion’s den who came out unscratched Dan. 6:4-10,26-28. Understand that when we are agitated, it is the proof that our faith is under question.

  • Patience-driven faith.

Patience in scriptures does not mean to sit down and wait for things, rather it is to remain committed doing what is commanded by scriptures, until the result is delivered Rms. 4:16-21. This is what it takes for our faith to work and deliver our desired result Heb. 6:12-13. When stop to do what the scriptures command because we have given up, we denied our faith the opportunity to deliver result.

  • God-glorying faith.

The faith that works is one that keeps giving God the glory, even when it appears nothing is happening Acts 4:16-18. We understand from scriptures that when we give God glory, He moves into our situation to demonstrate His might Acts 16:25-30. This is what makes faith to work, when we give God the glory with our faith.

In conclusion, the good news is that you too can operate this faith! All you need is the decision to put all that you have come to understand today to work, and remain committed to doing them until your desired testimonies are delivered.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit for daring step in the practice of my faith from now Exo. 14:15.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to be at rest in the midst of storms, thereby making my faith to work from now Heb. 4:1-2.
