Salvation is not an introduction into a religion or a church system, it is an initiation into a pre-determined life Rms. 8:29-30; Heb. 12:1. This life was pre-determined by God, which we refer to as destiny Jer. 29:11; Gal. 1:15-16. In essence, man (in general) is not designed to be at the mercy of situations and circumstances he finds himself, rather he is to experience what has been pre-ordained to be Isa. 14:24; Jn. 16:13-14. Therefore, what man needs is the spiritual understanding of how to step into, and experience the best of destiny Pro. 21:16; Mat. 13:23; Eph. 1:17-21.

The Destiny of the Believer in Christ.

When we talk about the life pre-ordained by God for man on the earth, salvation is the only access to it Rms. 8:29-30. This is why it is vital for everyone that desires to escape being a victim of the woes on the earth to enjoy the glory pre-ordained by God to be born again. The good news is that we all have a common destiny is Christ, what is this destiny?

  1. A holy destiny.

Christ saves the believer from sin, to usher him into the life of holiness pre-ordained by God Mat. 1:21. In essence, the believer has the destiny of holiness in Christ Rms. 14:17; Eph. 1:3-5. Living in sin as a believer is accepting a life below what God has pre-ordained.

  1. A glorious destiny.

In Christ the believer has escaped the shame in the world, and he is brought into the life of glory Rms. 8:29-30; 2Pet. 1:3. In essence, by destiny the believer is designed to move from glory to glory and not otherwise.

Scriptural Proofs to Ascertain that one is Born Again.

  1. The manifestation of the fruits of the Spirit.

The believer’s spirit came alive at redemption, and there are things that validates a living or regenerated spirit, these are referred to as fruit of the Spirit Gal. 5:22-23. Two of these are:

  1. i) The love of God: will come alive and be burning in the heart of the believer 4:16-21; Jn. 13:35. Love for God simply means love for the things that God loves, and hatred for what God hates. God hates sin Hab. 1:13; while He loves the soul of man Jn. 3:16; His word Psa. 138:2; His house Psa. 87:2.
  2. ii) The joy of salvation: this is indescribable joy coming forth from the inner beings of the believer 51:12; Acts 8:5-7.
  1. Through rescue from the works of the flesh.

Before salvation, the flesh of man has the control over his life Rms. 7:18-24. This makes the individual to display the things that be subject to the things of the flesh in his behavior and attitude Gal. 5:19-21. At salvation the flesh loses its power, this makes the behavior of the believer to suddenly change Rms. 6:14. Some of the works of the flesh are:

  1. i) Adultery: this is sexual immoral lifestyle 4:3; 1Cor. 6:9-11.
  2. ii) Idolatry: this is giving one’s devotion to any other thing or person than God 20:4-5; 1Cor. 10:14.

Keys to Realizing our Colorful Destiny in Christ.

  1. Have a heart for God.

The heart of man is the fundamental factor that determines his outcome in life Pro. 4:23; Mat. 12:35. A heart that is after God is what empowers the believer to deliver experience his destiny in Christ 1Sam. 13:14; 1Cor. 2:9.

  1. Have a thirst for God’s word.

God’s word contains the details of the believer’s destiny and the power to pursue and actualize it Isa. 29:11-12. How much the believer digs into the word will determine how much one can see and access concerning one’s destiny Jn. 5:39. In essence, a thirst for God’s word is fundamental to realizing destiny in Christ Psa. 119:97-100,162; Isa. 55:1-3,10-11.

In conclusion, every man is designed by God for a great life on the earth, irrespective of the environment and situation he finds himself. But this won’t happen automatically, it will be as each one accepts the responsibility for it.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace for the responsibilities for maximizing my glorious destiny in Christ 15:10.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, every plot of hell against my glorious destiny in Christ is blotted out now 2:14.
