Memory verse:
“For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.”
“And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.”
“And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,”
“And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.”
“Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.”
“And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?”
“They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.”
“So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.”
- Mat 20:1-8.
Remember, we are in the midst of the year season, and it is revival season Hab. 3:2. Revival season is a season of hard work in spiritual labor Hag. 2:4. The scriptures show us that in the kingdom as long as one is available, there is always what to do. In essence, availability is the vital key to be a part of the spiritual labor in the kingdom 2Cor. 4:16-17.
We have defined a revival as the move of God in the midst of men, and every move of God is borne on the shoulder of men 1Chr. 15:13-15. This is why we said revival is a season of hard work for the believer. The good news is that no believer is excluded, because there are diverse tasks to be done in a revival, giving every believer the privilege and opportunity of what to do to be a part of the work. The focus of our teachings this week has been on studying the diverse opportunities of work in a revival, which a believer can take advantage of to connect to the blessings of a revival. I believe today’s teaching will get you on the mainstream of the on-going revival.
Channels of engaging in a revival.
- A place for witnessing Christ to the lost.
Every believer is ordained to be a soul winner Jn. 15:1-2,16; 2Cor. 5:17-20. Soul winning is a kingdom business, everyone that is a child of God is instructed to be involved in Mk. 16:15-16,20. One does not need to know any scripture to be involved in soul winning. One only need a heart to see suffering people delivered by Christ, the will to go to them and tell them of what Christ has done in one’s life with the assurance that he will do it for them if they will invite Christ into their lives as individuals.
- A place for inviting people to Church for their salvation.
Inviting people to church is a bit different from witnessing Christ to them, though it has this same ultimate goal which is to see them saved and planted in the faith and the church Jn. 4:4-7,28-29,39. But here, we just encourage them to follow us to fellowship, giving them the assurance that Jesus will give the solution to the issues of their life. When they come to fellowship, they have the opportunity to hear God’s word in an atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, which makes it easy for them to make the decision for Christ. In essence, if you cannot witness for Christ, you can invite some to the church.
