“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

• Jms. 5:15.

We are in the last days; the scriptures show us clearly the characteristics of the last days 2Tim. 3:1-5; Isa. 60:1-3. In all of these prophetic agenda for the last days, the scriptures make us to understand that the church shall become kingdoms and nations as she attracts unusual multitudes that has never being in history Zch. 8:20-23; 2:4. Also, the scriptures make it clear that when it comes to the growth of the church, the devil is never happy and will resist it stiffly in the last days Mat. 16:18. But thanks be to God for the shield of faith, which guarantees the victory of the church over the resistance of hell Eph. 6:16. The shield of faith is deployed on the prayer altar; this is what is known as the prayer of faith Jms. 5:15.

What is the prayer of faith and how to engage in it?

1. The prayer of faith is engaging God’s capacity for delivery through the altar of prayer.

This is drawing near to God in full assurance and high expectancy that we are mobilizing, and deploying heaven’s resources into our earthly situation for delivery of result that will make men to be amazed Jms. 5:16-18; Mat. 21:22.

• We must have our faith built to engage in such prayer.

One assured way to build our faith for engagement in the prayer of faith is through consistency in fellowship Psa. 73:17; 27:4. Our God is the God who is full of faith, the more we fellowship with Him, the more we are imparted with His faith Pro. 13:20.

• Faith will always turn the believer to a praying believer.

The scriptures make us to understand faith empowers a believer for the praying lifestyle, and to prevail in prayer Mat. 17:20; Lk. 17:6. We understand further from scriptures that every praying church is always a growing church Ezk. 36:37; Isa. 66:7-8.

It is true that we at a crucial time on the earth, when darkness shall cover the earth and become gross darkness Isa. 60:1-2. But with the prayer of faith the church will shine forth as light in the midst of the darkness, and turn into kingdoms and nations.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, pour upon us the Spirit of grace and supplication afresh, thereby cause your church to experience the influx of multitude henceforth Zch. 12:10.

Action.

Pray for the supernatural growth of your cell today, and all your converts to follow you to church on Sunday.
