Memory verse:   

“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”

• Jer. 30:19.

The scriptures make us to understand that every force behind church growth is powered on the prayer altar Isa. 66:7-8. These include the word of God, the hand of God, the Holy Spirit, signs and wonders etc. Every prayer that will command answered must be powered with thanksgiving Php. 4:6. In essence, to experience church growth will demand engaging the force of thanksgiving. Further, the scriptures show us that when God does a thing and we acknowledge and celebrate Him for it, He Is invoked to do more without our asking for it Jer. 30:19; Psa. 67:5-7. Therefore, to keep the church on the path of supernatural growth, we simply need to give ourselves to thanksgiving and praise.

Scriptural understanding that will sustain believers in thanksgiving for growth.

1. Understand that our God is the nation taking God.

In the days of Elijah, the entire nation of Israel was taken over as God turned the heart of the men back to Him in one day 1Kgs. 18:36-39. At Egypt, God brought the entire nation of Israel, a people estimated at three million in one day Exo. 12:41-42. Remember, it is by praise we move God to do what only Him can do.

• Understand that God is at the center of all the forces that engenders growth.

We have established above that every church growth force is powered in prayer Isa. 66:7-8. This is because every force of church growth requires God’s input for them to deliver, and prayer is a way to get God to work. But prayer requires thanksgiving to deliver Php. 4:6.

• As we continue to give God thanks, the church continues to grow supernaturally.

Thanksgiving is a delight to God, and God respond to anywhere He hears believers celebrating Him Psa. 22:3. When God steps into a place, whatever is the barrier gives way, thereby leading to advancement and growth Psa. 114:1-8.

God ordained the church for continuous supernatural growth no matter what the devil is out doing Mat. 16:18. But the church has the task of invoking God with their thanksgiving to experience it.

Jesus is Lord!

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your faithful to this church, for the multitude you keep drafting, and the souls you keep saving in our services 2Cor. 3:5.

Action.

Engage in thanksgiving and praise for the increase we have kept experiencing since this year began all through today.
