Memory verse:
“And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” – Lk. 17:17-19.
Every child of God is redeemed from the life of shame, struggle, and frustration to experience a new life in Christ 2Cor. 5:17; Jn. 10:10. One characteristic of this new life is continuous next levels of blessings Acts 3:26; Gal. 3:13-14. This implies, a life of blessing in increasing dimension with time. To experience this in reality, we need to understand that giving of thanks is the demand Jer. 30:19; 1Ths. 5:18. Where a believer’s thanksgiving stops is where his blessing will be terminated.
The Power of Thanksgiving to Effect Next Level Experience.
- Thanksgiving Triggers the Next Blessing Reserved for God’s Children.
Whatever level a believer has attained in life, either very low or high, there is a next level God has prepared for him Pro. 4:18; 1Cor. 2:9. God will not do the next until we acknowledge Him for the last Lk. 17:15-19.
- Thanksgiving Preserves Our Blessings.
The blessing of God is not designed to be short-lived, because whatever God does is forever Ecc. 3:14. Giving thanks to God on time is what moves God to preserve our blessings Jer. 13:15-17; Mal. 2:1-3.
To build a thanksgiving lifestyle, we must beware of comparing ourselves with others. This engenders depression, which is an enemy of thanksgiving 2Cor. 10:12.
Jesus is Lord!
