The law that guides life on the earth is seedtime and harvest, which means input will always determine output Gen. 8:22. If the believer is to experience the abundant life, he needs to understanding the input he must be committed to that will produce this dimension of life. Serving is the labor of man with the greatest profit Lk. 22:25-27. And spiritual service delivers the best among the various forms of services 1Tim. 4:7-8. This is where the believer has an advantage because spiritual service can only be offered by the believer 1Cor. 2:14.

Ways of engaging in spiritual service.

1. Praying for the diverse needs of members of the church.

When prayer is focused on others, not self, it becomes a form of spiritual service Jms. 5:16-17. The following understanding will empower the believer to commit to this order of prayer.

1. Praying for our spiritual leaders for their spiritual empowerment – this will make them more impactful in their ministry to the people 6:19; 2The. 3:1.
2. Praying for church members to turn their challenges into testimonies – this will lead to their establishment in the faith and the church 1:19; Eph. 6:8,18.

• Whatever we pray for others, God makes happen for us – when one prays for the sick, he cannot be a victim to sickness in life Job 42:10.

15. Prayer is the cheap way to touch and turn the heart of men – turning souls to God entitles believers to a good old age 92:132-15.
