The believer was essentially called into a life of service by reason of new birth, and not just into a life of religion Eph. 2:8-10. This is one reason I believe new birth promises greatness for the believer Mat. 5:13-14. Therefore, a good understanding on the subject of service is vital to maximize redemption. Among all, the scriptures show that spiritual stewardship pays the most 1Tim. 4:7-8; Mk. 10:28-30.

Ways of engaging in spiritual service.

1. Inviting people to church to meet Christ.

This is akin to the task of soul winning, and it is one that every believer can productively engage in. The following understanding will empower the believer to commit to this form of spiritual service.

1. It involves going to the highways and hedges to compel people to come into church – This is for their salvation, deliverance, and breakthrough, which is credited to the account of the believer who invited them 14:16-23,
2. It is something every believer could be involved in – One may not be able to preach, but everyone can invite people to church for their salvation 4:29,39.

• It is an indirect way to get souls saved and contribute to church growth – Remember, in the growth of the church lies the glory of the saints 30:19,21.

30. Soul winning brings honor from God – Every soul won to Christ brings honor to God, and in return the believer receives honor from God 14:28; 1Sam. 2:30.

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit afresh for effective engagement in soul winning Acts 1:8.
