Memory verse:
“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come” 1Tim. 4:7-8.
From scriptures, we understand that serving God is the believer’s access to the blessings of God that makes for a glorious life Exo. 23:25-26; Pro. 10:22. We have emphasized this week that out of the three major forms of kingdom stewardship, spiritual stewardship delivers the best of rewards 1Tim. 4:7-8. Therefore, every believer that loves to maximize his privilege of kingdom life must engage in spiritual stewardship.
What are the various ways of engaging in spiritual stewardship?
- Praying for the needs of members.
The service we render is turnaround story in the lives of the members Gal. 6:2. This is not a physical, but eternal output, because it has to do with the lives of men. The following will empower our commitment to this form of service.
- Praying for church members’ turns their challenges into testimonies; this makes them to be established in church for life 1:19; Psa. 23:6.
- From scriptures, we understand that whatever we make happen for others through our prayers is what God makes happen to us Job 42:10; Eph. 6:8.
- This shows us how we can make our spiritual stewardship engagement deliver desired testimonies of healing, health, wholeness, etc. 23:25-26; Eph. 6:8.
- Specifically also, spiritual stewardship entitles believers to a good old age, which no devil can stall Acts 26:22; 1Cor. 9:16-17; Phm. 1:9.
