Memory verse:   

 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

• Mat. 13:44.

A treasure is a precious or valuable possession. The scriptures clearly state that when a man does not have the understanding of the worth of what he has, he stands the risk of losses in life Psa. 49:20. I believe this is the challenge with many in God’s kingdom; they have the treasures of God’s kingdom, yet they suffer loss of beauty, color, honor, dignity etc in life. And this is simply because they lack the understanding of the kingdom treasure they have. We have established from scriptures that one great treasure of God’s kingdom is soul winning, it delivers great value when we have a good understanding and operate with it.

The Worth of Soul Winning that makes it a Treasure.

1. Soul winning secures our continuity in the faith.

A non-fruit bearing believer will be cut off from the faith Lk. 13:6-9. Soul winning is what makes a fruit bearing believer, which moves God to personally attend and care for the believer thereby enabling him to bear more fruits Jn. 15:1-2.

• Soul winning empowers believers for supernatural prosperity.

When Jesus sent the disciples to villages, towns and cities to preach, He supernaturally provided all they needed as they went about this task Lk. 22:35. This means, a believer that commits to the lifestyle of soul winning is guaranteed supernatural provision of all his needs in life Mat. 6:33; Mk. 10:28-30.

• Soul winning puts the believer in command of the supernatural.

When we respond to the demand of soul winning, we invoke God to work with us Mat. 28:19-20. When God is at work, the supernatural becomes the natural experience in the life of that believer Mk. 16:15-20; Acts 14:8-11.

Every treasure in life will need to go through some level of heat before the beauty and glory comes out. In the same way, kingdom treasures will place demands on the believer before it will impart colour and beauty on the beleiver.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus, deliver me from everything that makes we weak and lazy at soul winning, thereby turning me to an sharp instrument for effective harvest of souls into the kingdom from now Isa. 41:15.

Action.

Get on the field, and win souls that you will present to Christ come Sunday in the church.
