Memory verse:
“And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” Lk. 2:49.
The scriptures in many places show that life in God’s kingdom is likened to doing business Mat. 13:44-46; 25:14-30. The believer need to possess a business mindset, understand what the kingdom business entails, and give himself to it to experience the abundant life of the kingdom. The soul of man is the commodity, and the business is about reconciling the lost souls back to God Mat. 16:26; 2Cor. 5:18-20. This is the secret that turns the believer’s life to a wonder among men Jn. 15:16. In essence, soul winning is the hidden treasure in the kingdom and it is wisdom to buy fully into it Mat. 13:44.
Scriptural understanding on soul winning that will get the believer committed.
- Soul winning entitles the believer for supernatural empowerment.
The scriptures make us to understand that the believer is primarily empowered by the Holy Ghost to be an effective witness of Christ Acts 1:8. In essence, the more the believer is committed to soul winning the more he is empowered Lk 10:1-2,17-19. The level of power the believer carries is what defines the life he enjoys Psa. 66:3,7.
- Soul winning confers divine honor on the believer.
God is honored and glorified when multitude are gathered to Him Pro. 14:28; Jn. 15:8. Multitudes are drawn to God when believers make themselves available as tool in God’s hand to draw the people to God; this is soul winning Rms. 10:14-15; Jn. 15:16. Every believer who is part of bringing honor to God through gathering the multitude is entitled to honor in return from God 1Sam. 2:30. When God honors a man, he has escaped from all the woes of life to enjoy distinction in life.
Therefore, God is not looking for who to use by commanding the believer to be a soul winner, he is looking for who to make Mat. 4:19; Exo. 23:25-26.
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, endue me with grace afresh for soul winning that no unsaved I meet from today will escape hearing the gospel and getting saved Acts 26:22.
Action.
Draw a schedule for your soul winning engagement, and set target for yourself.
