SERVING GOD IS EVERY BELIEVER’S COVENANT RESPONSIBILITY PT. 5.

Memory verse:

“And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their

fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;”

“That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be

put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.”

“And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting,

and with trumpets, and with cornets.”

“And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their

heart, and sught him with their whole desire; and he was found of them:

and the LORD gave them rest round about.”

  • 2Chr. 15:12-15.

Life is all about responsibilities, and it answers only to those who accept requisite responsibility Deut. 28:1-2. Life is no fun fare, life is real business with responsibilities to embrace for it to deliver. The scriptures make us to understand that service is the fundamental demand that will empower an individual for success and eventual greatness in life Lk. 22:25-27. Rather than looking for what to get, grab, and take, men should learn to look for where to serve and they will see themselves experiencing greater result and a better life. Serving God is the ultimate of service with rewards that are unequal Exo. 23:25-26; Job 36:11. When a man is committed to serving God as a lifestyle, he is referred to as a servant of God, ordination or not Rms. 6:16; Jos 24:15.

Therefore, the choice to serve God is wisdom and has the guarantee of greatness and glory. Examples are best teachers in life, and scriptures instruct that the simple way to life is to follow examples Heb. 6:12. We have been studying examples from scriptures, of men who were sold out to serving God and the impact of their choice on their lives.

Scriptural Examples of Servants of God who had no Church title or Ordination.

  1. Anna.

Anna was a widow, who lived with her husband for only seven (7) years. But she lived thereafter to eighty-four years of age serving God in prayers Lk. 2:36-37. There was no where the bible recorded she had an ordination, but she was identified as a prophetess through her service. And her name found its way into the bible by reason of her service. Also, we saw her live to a good old age as a reward of serving God.

Therefore, you are not wasting your time serving the Lord, it is a covenant platform for investing towards ones enthronement both in the now and hereafter Lk. 22:25-27,28-30; 2Tim. 4:5-8.
