Church growth is a must because it is a validation that the church is alive Pro. 4:18. The growth of the church is against the powers of darkness, there mission is to stop the church Mat. 16:18. Scripture’s prescription against the powers of darkness is prayer and fasting Mat. 17:19-21. This is why every praying church is a growing church, and every growing church must remain a praying church so as to keep growing Acts 6:4,7; Ezk. 36:37.
The Power of Prayer in Commanding Church Growth.
- It Invokes the Ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is vital for supernatural church growth experience and taking territories for Christ Zch. 4:6; Acts 2:1-6. It is on the prayer altar that we invoke the ministry of the Holy Spirit Lk. 11:13.
- It destroys the hold of the Enemy.
Souls need to be saved and established in the faith and the church for there to be church growth. This demands that the hold of the wicked be destroyed from the lives of the unsaved and new converts Lk. 11:21-22; Col. 4:12. Prayer and fasting are the platforms to get this done Lk. 18:7-8.
- It invokes revelation.
Prayer and fasting invokes eruption of revelation among od’s people, which results in the multitudes being drawn to Christ Zch. 8:3; Acts 6:7.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, empower me by the Holy Spirit for tireless kingdom advancement prayer engagement from now Zch. 12:10.
Action.
Be committed to and prompt with your prayer schedule.
