Memory verse:
“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.”
“Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.”
“God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”
Psa. 67:5-7.
Turnaround is the heritage of every believer, because our God is the turnaround God Ezk. 21:27. God is committed to keep turning things around until the believer’s story is turned to glory and open celebration Psa. 126:1-3. But each believer has the responsibility to invoke God for turnaround; we do this through our praise Hab. 2:17-20. The question is what is in praise that makes it to turn things around?
What is in praise that makes it turn desires to reality?
- It has the capacity to make every dead situation come alive.
When our praise goes up, situations that can be termed as not working are suddenly turned to ‘everything working’ Hab. 3:17-19. In essence, there is no situation in the believer’s life that is permitted to be termed as a closed case with praise.
- It suspends the laws of nature to deliver God’s plan and purpose.
Life is guided and operated by divine laws Gen. 8:22. Praise has the capacity to suspend the laws of nature, to deliver God’s plan and purpose forcefully as we saw in the case of Abraham Rms. 4:19-21.
In essence, the believer can praise his way out of every siege against his destiny in to a fulfilled and glorious life in a grand style Isa. 54:1-4. But remember, for our praise to be effective, it must come from a joyful heart Isa. 29:13.
