Memory verse:
“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”
Pro. 23:26.
The scriptures make us to understand that the heart of man and his time has correlation. Wherever the heart goes the time follow, and whatever the time is engaged with shows where the heart is Psa. 90:12. Remember, the heart of every man determines what becomes of his life Pro. 4:23; 23:7. When the heart of man is sold out to God, the individual is guaranteed a fulfilled life 2Chr. 16:9. And this is validated by the time being made available to God and the pursuit of the interest of His kingdom Psa. 31:15. This is the secret of every great individual in scriptures.
Scriptural examples of giants made by making their time available to God.
- The example of Daniel.
Daniel was a young Jewish captive in Babylon, who had a heart for God Dan. 1:1-6. Daniel demonstrated his heart for God in his decision not to defile himself with the pollution in Babylon; he would rather die than submit to any personality as supreme other than the living God Dan. 1:8; 6:4-23. As a prime minister of Babylon, Daniel still kept a daily schedule of three times of prayer, even when the law forbids him to pray to any other person than the king Dan. 6:10. In essence, he was not too busy to have time for the things of God and His kingdom. The scriptures show us the effect of this stand of Daniel; he remained relevant to the government of Babylon for sixty-five years, despite the diverse change of regime in those years Dan. 2:48; 5:11; 6:26-28.
