Memory verse:
“Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.”
“And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.”
“And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.”
“And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.”
- Lk. 19:16-19.
The scriptures make us to understand that God does not owe any man, everyone that labor for Him is rewarded in return Rms. 13:8; Lk. 19:17-19. God’s reward is the force behind the making of destiny, while it delivers from struggle and failure in life Pro. 10:22. In essence, everyone that desires a fulfilled life only need to enroll in kingdom labor. But we must understand that it is not enough to labor, for us to enjoy rewards our labor must deliver results Mat. 25:20-25,30.
What makes the believer’s labor to command rewards in the kingdom.
- Every star is made through his result generated by personal input.
No matter how great the coach is, it does not guarantee the making of a star. Every star is made through personal discipline, dedication and sacrifice, which are the factors that guarantee outstanding result of stars Jn. 12:24-25.
- Reward is by taking personal responsibility and not by proxy.
Just like in sports, the sportsman must take on the competition himself to qualify for award. The believer that will be entitled for reward must be practically and personally involved in the engagement and labor exercise, it is non-transferable 1Cor. 9:24-26.
- Winning a prize ni any race is by personal dedication.
The believer must have this individualistic mentality entrenched in him to be fit for rewards in the kingdom Php. 3:13-14. The kingdom race is a personal one, and many become disqualified because they still approach it as a collective race Heb. 12:2.
