Memory verse:

“Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither

shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,”

  • 2Sam. 7:10.

God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo often say that one genuine encounter with God is of greater worth that a lifetime of efforts by man. A genuine encounter with God is strong enough to settle a man for his entire lifetime. Scriptures make us to understand that God has places where He has ordained for men to experience encounter with Him Jer. 18:1-5; 1Kgs. 19:11-13. We must understand that God is everywhere, and His power is not limited to few places. At the same time our God operates by principles, which He will not break Psa. 89:34. Appointing places for men to have encounter with Him is one of such principle of God.

Shiloh, the annual gathering of Winners’, is a prophetically appointed mountain of encounters with God 1Sam. 3:21. Shiloh is ordained a mountain for the release of the inheritance of the believer Jos. 18:1-3. But great outcome in anything in life is a function of great preparation 2Chr. 27:6. Therefore, every believer must adequately prepare for Shiloh 2021 so as not to miss out on the appearance of God. In our teachings this week, we shall be looking into the scriptures to learn of what our preparation will do, and the essential preparation towards Shiloh 2021. This shall be a week that will be notable in your life.

The Significance of Preparation for Encounter with God.

  1. Preparation is essential to experience God’s glory Exo. 19:10-14.

The ultimate of every encounter with God is the revelation of God and His glory, which will launch the believer into a higher realm of God’s glory in life 2cor. 3:18. The glory of God will only come down in response to one’s level of preparation Pro. 18:1.

  • A vital preparation is that of the heart Pro. 16:1.

The heart of man is the part with which he relates and interact with God 1Sam. 16:7. For an encounter with God, the heart of man must be made fit for God. Sin is what defiles the heart; it renders the believer unfit for an encounter with God because the eyes of God are too pure to behold sin Hab. 1:13. Therefore, everyone should genuinely repent of sin, this clears the barrier to encounter with God and access to answered prayers 1Jn. 1:9; Psa. 66:18-19.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, everything that may deny me of an encounter at Shiloh 2021 is taken off my life now Psa. 51:7.
