Memory verse:
“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.” – Isa. 51:1-2.
Scripture makes us to understand that God deals with us as individuals, the way each one respond determines the outcome of his life Isa. 51:1-3. The way God deals with us is by giving opportunities, this comes to each person time and again Lk. 19:1-15; Mat. 24:14-15. This means, no one lacks opportunity in life, but our outcome differs because of the difference in our response. While one takes up every opportunity, another dodges, runs from, or transfer it. Opportunities often present as responsibility, those who don’t love taking up responsibilities often miss opportunities.
Responsibilities that Prepare Believers for Maximizing Opportunities.
- Understand that God Does not Reward Groups.
We serve the God of rewards, who does not owe anyone for his labor in the kingdom Pro. 14:23; Rms. 13:8. For our labor to command reward, we must understand that God reward individuals, He does not reward groups 1Cor. 3:8; Mat. 6:6. God promotes individuals, He does not promote groups Psa. 75:5-6; Lk 19:17-19. God honors individuals, not groups Pro. 14:23; Jn 12:24-26. This means, for our labor to count and attract God’s reward, we must be individualistic in our approach and result delivery.
