We belong to a kingdom that promises unstoppable and continuous progress, no matter the oppositions we are faced with in life Pro. 4:18. But scriptures make us to understand that this can only happen as we accept the responsibility to enforce it Matt. 11:12. Among all the forces of the kingdom to enforce our continuous progress, wisdom is scripturally identified as the most important Pro. 4:7; Eccl. 7:12; 9:16-18. When one does not know his tool, he suffers destruction. And a good understanding of one’s tool guarantee unquestionable triumph and victory in life 1Sam. 17:38-40. Wisdom is the vital tool of the believer to experience the abundant life of the kingdom.

What is wisdom?

It is knowing the right thing to do from God’s word and doing it; knowing the right way to go and going there; knowing the right step to take and taking it; and knowing the right turn to make and making it Matt. 7:24-28; Jms. 1:22-25.

There is a big world of difference between a good and the right thing. Many are found doing good things, but until we do the right thing we are not wise.

Biblical Wisdom for Divine Protection.

Scriptures makes us to understand that being under divine covering is the only guarantee for divine protection Psa. 91:1-7. Divine covering is the stronghold of the believers’ protection. In essence, when the believer is under divine covering, there is no evil, harm or mishap that can touch his life.

Requirements to Secure Divine Covering over One’s Life.

  1. One must be born again Jn. 3:3-5; Eph. 2:19; 1Tim. 5:8.

The choice to become born again makes an individual to become a member of God’s household. This makes it God’s responsibility thereafter to watch over and keep the individual from thence. In essence, becoming born again automatically brings an individual under divine covering.

  1. Return back to God fully Lk. 15:11-24.

The ‘prodigal’ son in scriptures was divinely covered while in the father’s house, he lost this when he walked away and because vulnerable to all elemental forces. He regained the father’s covering over his life when he returned back home to the father. Many wandered away from God our Father, is the reason for the calamities and negative experiences in their lives, it time to return back and come under divine covering again.

Requirements to Sustain Divine Covering.

  1. One must continue to walk in obedience to God’s commandments Jn. 14:21; Pro. 18:21; Psa. 91:2.

The commandment of God is light, walking in it is walking in the light Rms. 6:23. When the believer walks in the light, every power of darkness is cleared off his life Jn. 1:5.

  • One must be committed to walk by faith 1Jn. 5:4; Heb. 11:32-33; 2Cor. 5:7.

Faith is the believer’s guarantee for victory over all the forces of darkness. Walking by faith therefore guarantee a walk-over against all satanic assaults and wickedness in life. What is faith? In simple word, it is confidence in God that makes the believer to do whatever He says per time.

  • One must continue to serve God and the interest of His kingdom Exo. 23:25-26; Isa. 65:8.

Serving God secures God’s blessing on an individual. God’s blessing is a guaranteed antidote to the forces of destruction in life. Serving God means to become committed to the pursuit of the interest of God and His kingdom, and that is the salvation of the unsaved Jn. 3:16; 1Tim. 2:1-4; 2Pet. 3:9. In essence, how passionate one is towards salvation of souls is the true indicator of one’s heart of service for God.

  • Tithing and giving to the needy around us Mal. 3:10-11,17-18; Psa. 41:1-3.

Tithe is the believer’s covenant insurance policy against all devourers and whatever that destroys. In essence, tithe is not a way to help God, it is not a donation to help meet the financial need of the church or the pastor. Tithe is covenant obligation that guarantee against all arrows of the wicked in life. Also, giving to the poor is not a way of helping the poor, but a covenant that preserves one’s life from the forces that destroys and all the intentions of enemies. Therefore, it is not wise to close one’s eyes to the poor around one’s life. Remember, no matter one’s level, there is someone around that one is better than.

  • Engage a lifestyle of praise Psa. 22:3; 34:1.

Praise will always invoke divine presence, and at God’s presence all forces of darkness and opposition melts and scatter Psa. 68:1-2; 114:1-8. In essence, when a believer adopts the lifestyle of praise, he automatically walks over all assaults of the wicked by reason of the presence of God he commands around his life.

In conclusion, there is nowhere in life that is safe 1Jn. 5:19. This is because everywhere has evil, wickedness and danger lurking and waiting to devour. The only safe place in life is being under the covering of God, and any man can come under this covering.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit to walk in the wisdom for divine covering from today Eph. 3:19.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice to (renew my) walk in the covenant today, thereby bringing me afresh under the covering of God Gen. 17:1.
  3. Father, as I walk in the covenant from today, the forces of destruction loses their power over my life Isa. 65:8.
