What is profit? It simply means increase, progress, advancement, gain, growth or to become better. A life is said to be profitable when there is improvement on today’s status compared to yesterday. This is the life God has ordained for the believer Pro. 4:18; Jn. 10:10. But there is God’s way to every provision in the kingdom; the lack of understanding of the way to a profitable life makes believers to be stranded Eccl. 10:15. The scriptures make us to understand that the state of the mind is fundamental to the experience of a believer in life Pro. 4:23; 23:7; Mat. 12:35. Therefore, for a life of profit one must possess the right heart or mind.
The Scriptural Mindset a Believer must Possess for Profits in Life.
- We must possess an investor’s mentality.
What is an investor’s mentality and how does it make for profitable kingdom life?
- First, we must understand that the kingdom of God operates as a ‘business’ outfit Mat. 20:1-8. In essence, kingdom stewardship is doing kingdom business Lk. 2:49; Rms. 12:11.
- We must understand that business essentially involves investment; therefore, every input in spiritual stewardship must be seen, understood and taken as investment Mat. 6:6,17-18; Acts 10:3-4.
- Every investment will produce dividend to the investor; it means there is dividend that accrue to the believer for every input made into the kingdom Mat. 25:20-23.
A dividend consciousness will therefore empower the believer’s commitment to tireless engagement in kingdom service until the profits are delivered in reality 1Cor. 9:10,16-19. This dividend consciousness is what we refer to as investor’s mentality.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus purge my heart of everything that has robbed me of my due reward, and make my heart new for profitable service from today Heb. 9:14.

Itemize your different investment channels in the kingdom; appraise your investment level ad review it.
