Soul winning is a commandment of scripture to every believer Jn. 15:16. Obedience to commandment demands one is rightly motivated for it to be willing and excited resulting in profits Isa. 1:19. Satan and the powers of darkness’ intentions are to make all men experience a life of torment and eventual destruction, while God’s will is a glorious life for every individual Jn. 10:10. In soul winning, we work with God to bring His intention for humanity to pass in the lives of those we come in contact Jude 1:23. Hence, soul winning is not primarily for the growth of the church, but the rescue of individuals from destruction and their getting to know the truth that makes free 1Pet. 3:9.
Scriptural Perspectives that Motivate for Soul Winning.
- Hell is not Made for Man.
Scripture states clearly that there is place called hell, made and reserved originally for Satan and his angels Mat. 25:41. When we win anyone to Christ, we have delivered him from hell; by doing so, we have also gotten ourselves out of same Jude 1:23; Eph. 6:8.
- Heaven Rejoices for Every Soul Won to Christ.
We make heaven rejoice every time a soul is won to Christ Lk. 15:7. Believers who cause heaven to rejoice, will continue to enjoy heavenly order of joy in return in their lives Gal. 6:7-8; Gen. 8:22.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, empower me by the Holy Spirit for aggressive, effective, and tireless soul-winning engagement, and cause every convert to abide in the faith and this church Acts 1:8.
Action.
Appraise your level of results in soul winning for the first quarter.
