Memory verse:
“And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.”
“Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?”
“And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.” – Jer. 23:34-36.
Serving God is believers guaranteed access to God’s blessing that makes life rich and free from sorrow Exo. 23:25-27; Pro. 10:22. For kingdom service to deliver, scripture says we must be willing and obedient Isa. 1:19. Anything a believer does under compulsion won’t count, but a wasted effort 2Cor. 9:6-7. Engaging in any form of service as a burden makes the labor of believers futile, which fails to deliver blessing.
Covenant Understanding that Delivers from Serving as a Burden.
- God Never Forces His Will on Anyone.
Serving God is a commandment of scripture, but we must understand that God never forces any of His instruction on anyone Mat. 21:28-31; Isa. 56:1-2,10-11.
- God’s Kingdom is a Kingdom of Choice.
We belong to a kingdom of choice; God respects our choice as individuals, the devil submits, and it is binding on life Deu. 30:19. Rev. 3:20.
- Soul Winning is the Most Profitable Kingdom Service.
Soul winning is a gateway to a world of supernatural blessing Pro. 11:30; 3:35. Every believer that commits to it emerges as an enviable personality.
