Memory verse:     

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: ¹⁰ I shall be anointed with fresh oil. ¹¹ Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. ¹² The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. ¹³ Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. ¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; ¹⁵ To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” – Psa. 92:1,10-15.

Life in God’s kingdom is not by might, power, skill, or strength of man; it is the hand of God at work (Ecc. 9:11; Zch. 4:6). Thanksgiving is a guaranteed and cheap way to secure God’s hand over one’s life (Psa. 92:1-2,10-11). This is why thanksgiving makes for a glorious and enviable life (Jer. 30:19-21). When thanksgiving becomes a lifestyle, an individual will enjoy automatic audience and instant response from God at all times (Isa. 65:24).

The Power of Thanksgiving.

1. Thanksgiving Quickens the Dead to Life.

Our God is the God of the living not of the dead; everything dead receives life at His presence (Lk. 20:38; Acts 17:28). But it takes walking in covenant understanding to experience the life of God; some of these are:

• Understand that our God is never late; no matter the situation, He can restore life (Heb. 11:11; Jn. 11:21-25).
• Thanksgiving will always quicken the dead back to life, which simply means giving life to the dead thereby restoring it to life (Rms. 4:17-20; Jn. 11:39-44).

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                 

Father, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for a life of thanksgiving; thereby positioning myself for the fulfilment of prophecies (Acts 1:8).

Action.

Engage in celebrating God for the converts, contacts, and established souls last month.
