Memory verse:
“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.” – Mk. 10:28-30.
Scripture makes it clear that soul-winning is the most profitable engagement on the earth (Jn. 15:16). The following reasons postulated by scripture attest to this truth: a redeemed soul is the most valuable treasure to God on earth (Mat. 16:26; Jn. 3:16; it gets a believer on God’s payroll (In. 4:35-36). Getting on God’s payroll connotes the supernatural supply of all needs (Lk. 22:35; Php. 4:19). This is why every person who ever rose into greatness in the kingdom is given to soul winning as a way of life.
Ways of Engaging in Soul-Winning and the Benefits.
- Engaging in Soul-Winning.
Soul winning endeavors include investing our finances to help the challenged, thereby encouraging them to abide in the faith (Gal. 6:2; Php. 4:15-17). Finance is often the major area the enemy uses to keep people in sin; giving financial help could help people respond to salvation and abide in the faith.
- Benefits of Soul-Winning.
- It secures our generation after us (Psa. 112:1-3; Jn. 14:21).
- It secures a crown of righteousness in eternity (2Tim. 4:7-8; Lk. 22:28-30).
- It secures divine presence, bringing favor with God (Psa. 102:13-15; Gen. 39:5,21-22).
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, empower me by the Holy Spirit for effective and productive soul-winning endeavors from now (Acts 1:8).
Action.
Ensure all the souls won for Christ this week are in church service tomorrow.
Priestly Blessings.
Your labor for the kingdom this season shall keep speaking for you for life!
Every blessing due to a kingdom laborer shall become a practical reality in your life!
