Memory verse:     

“Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. ²¹ And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. ²² But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.”     – Mat. 20:20-22.

Scripture states emphatically that our God is a God of covenant; He operates absolutely by covenant, and never breaks His covenants (Psa. 89:34), The reason for the struggle of many of God’s children is a lack of understanding about God (Isa. 5:13). This means that every provision of God has conditions for taking delivery of them (Deu. 28:1-2). Scripture shows that serving God is a major demand for His children’s access to all of His benefits (Job 36:11). The choice to serve in the kingdom is the wisdom for a glorious life, and the more committed the more one is, the more access there is to the benefits.

Kingdom Provision that Kingdom Service Grants Access.

1. Divine Honor.

Honor means high esteem and treatment often beyond one’s qualification and credentials; the opposite is reproach (Rms. 12:10; 13:7). This means that we do not beg to be honored; we serve our way to honor (Jn. 12:24-26). When we learn to give ourselves to the demand, we won’t lack honor in life again (1Tim. 5:17).

2. Supernatural Breakthrough.

Breakthroughs imply progress in the face of intimidating obstacles; we live in a world filled with diverse obstacles (Exo. 14:14-15). This means that we do not beg for breakthrough; we serve our way into breakthroughs (Lk. 5:3-8). We can render all obstacles useless over our lives through serving God.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                 

Father, endow me by your Spirit with grace to engage in kingdom service in a dimension that grants me access to all kingdom benefits (Zch. 4:6-7).
