Memory verse:
“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. 3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.” – Mal. 2:1-3.
Thanksgiving is one of the mysteries of the kingdom that delivers strange results when engaged with understanding Mk. 4:11; Psa. 47:7. One of the effects of thanksgiving is that it invokes God to preserve our blessings Mal. 2:1-3; Jer. 13:15-19. When an individual stops seeing good things happen in his life, this in most cases is because of ignorance of how to preserve God’s blessing. Understanding of the things God has done is vital to give thanks qualitatively.
Reason for Our Thanksgiving as a Commission.
- For Continuous Flow of the Word Over the Years.
It is only God who gives His word; this means that anywhere God’s word flow freely, He is behind the scene releasing His word Psa. 68:11; 107:20. The truth is that we have enjoyed unhindered flow of God’s word in 45 years in this commission. We must understand that:
- It is the sent word that engenders exploits 9:8; Dan. 11:32.
- It is the sent word that heals and delivers 107:20; Mat. 8:16.
- It is the sent word that imparts on lives 2:2; Jn. 6:63.
We are intentionally celebrating God this week for His word that He has kept sending to us as a commission, which has produced the strange results we see today.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, thank you for your faithfulness to us over these 45 years as a commission, families, and individuals Psa. 92:1-2.
Action.
Tell somebody about the impact of God’s word on your life since joining this commission.
