Memory verse:
“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life” – Mk. 10:28-30.
Serving God or kingdom stewardship is the most profitable activity and venture in life Exo. 23:25-26; Job 36:11. Some heard about the blessedness of serving God and have seen the testimony in the lives of their pastors, but cannot talk of the same dimension of blessing in their lives after years of service. This is because kingdom stewardship is classified into three: spiritual, financial, and serving in the units or physical stewardship Gal. 6:7-9. Of these three, spiritual stewardship pays the most 1Tim. 4:8. The believer who gives himself to spiritual stewardship engagement enjoys greater blessing than another engaged with same intensity not on spiritual stewardship.
Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.
- Praying for Fresh Revelation on Our Altar.
Prayer for fresh revelation on our altar is an aspect of spiritual stewardship 1Ths. 3:1. Prayer for God’s word results in increase of the word from the altar, which empowers the church for supernatural growth Acts 6:4,7; Mat. 24:28. Prayer for the word also keeps the pasture (the word) green (fresh), which results in the sheep lying down Psa. 23:2.
Kingdom advancement prayer as a form of spiritual stewardship has the benefit of open rewards for engaging believers Lk. 2:37; Mat. 6:6.
