Memory verse:
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” – Mat. 22:36-40.
The world’s way of life is different and often opposite to that of God’s kingdom Isa. 55:8-9. While in the world, the one served is the beneficiary; in God’s kingdom, it is the one serving that benefits from service Lk. 22:24-27. Serving God is a choice for the wise because our God is the unchanging God; whether we serve or not He remains the same Mal. 3:6. Our service entitles us to amazing blessings that turn our lives into a wonder Job 36:11; Exo. 23:25-27.
The Benefits of Serving God that Proves Believers are the Beneficiary.
- Serving God Guarantees Express Access to Answered Prayers.
One of the rights of a believer is answer to every prayer, once he observes scriptural protocols Jn. 16:24; Mat. 21:22. It is one thing to enjoy answers to one’s prayers, and another to have the answers delivered express Isa. 65:24. Serving God empowers a believer for express answers at the prayer altar Jn. 15:16.
- Serving God Turns Our Shame to Glory.
The ultimate of serving God is bearing fruit that abides both in faith and the church, which is popularly referred to as soul winning Jn. 15:16. Soul winning is wisdom, and the wise are entitled to inherit glory Pro. 11:30; 3:35. This means that serving God invokes glory thereby terminating shame.
